What Do You Dream About?

quote 2

That has to be my all time favourite quote, I have written those words at the top of each page in my diary. I’ve been thinking a lot about setting goals and I’ve also been reading lots of business books, which is something I never thought I would do. Reading them is so inspirational and it’s amazing to see how successful people achieved their success.

Until a few months ago I had never picked up a business book in my life but I’ve recently read two which were so inspiring and such wonderful stories that I thought I would share them with you.

The first is #GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso and if this doesn’t inspire you then I don’t know what will. It’s a real rags to riches tale about Sophia who went from dumpster diving to starting her first online business.

The second is The Success Principles by Jack Canfield the co-author of Chicken Soup For the Soul. Again this is a very inspiring book and I really enjoyed it.

Of course this kind of reading is not for everyone but if you are in need of a burst of inspiration these may just do the trick.

  1. Despite having a day job in business in training and development where we advocate business books, I’ve always hated them so it’s great to hear someone who isn’t a fan getting converted. What would you say your main lessons have been, Helen? Will check these recommendations out. Jessica

  2. I’ve also read a couple of business books. The Icarus Deception by Seth Godin being the most recent and I’ve put Richard Branson’s latest, Screw it, Let’s do it, on my TBR. I think having a wide reading range is good for any person, especially a writer 🙂
